Twist Restaurant
When it comes to the sophisticated Four Star Mapungubwe Hotel and in Marshalltown, Johannesburg, a delightful restaurant brand known as Twist@Mapungubwe has made its arrival. This Johannesburg restaurant is the first in the Twist@series, which is set to become the brand of choice in selected Faircity hotels
“By blending the edible resources of our land with the products of our oceans, we are able to offer exciting African, Asian and Continental flavours and tastes to our visitors,” says Gustav Holtzhausen, managing director, Faircity and primary shareholder of Twist restaurant. “The Twist@Mapungubwe chefs combine S.A.’s superb meats, appetizing seafood treats, freshest greens, herbs, and nuts to create a wholesome home-grown variation that keeps the most discerning palate coming back for more.
“When we opened Mapungubwe Hotel in October 2007 it became apparent that our sophisticated and worldly guests were in search of fine dining options with unusual yet delectable tastes,” says Holtzhausen. “We researched and investigated flavours and menus that presented palatable experiences and after extensive planning, introduced the Twist restaurant offering to Mapungubwe Hotel in October 2008.”
Whilst Faircity manages the Mapungubwe Hotel in Johannesburg, the company is set to become a market leader and specialist in managing and operating various other economy and four star hotels, conference hotels as well as serviced apartments in South Africa’s key cities. In addition, the accompanying Twist@ brand is set to become a recognized and well known entity in the hospitality industry.
November Competition

Business cards can also be dropped off at Roodevallei Restaurant which enters you into a draw to win dinner and bed and breakfast on a Friday night. This is reserved for two people sharing. The winner will also receive tickets and return transfer to watch Janice Honeyman’s Pantomime for 2010: Robinson Crusoe.
